\nThe Mausoleum of prince Lu is located at the foothill of the Jiulong Mountain to the northeast of the Zoucheng city. The Jiulong Mountain consists of nine peaks linking onto a serpentine dragon, and thus acquires its name. Prince Lu died young, and the construction of the mausoleum was the first one of this kind. The entire complex, from siting to planning to construction, was rendered with utmost care. To the south it faces the Zhu Mountain across a vast field; to the east it has the Wohu (recumbent tiger) mountain and to the west the Yuhuang (Jade emperor) Mountain. Right in its front, it has the Baima (white horse) springs, which are the origins of the Baima River. As a whole of the mausoleum faces down the south and water and protects itself with surrounding mountains. In geomantic terms, this site is conducive to gathering wind and spirit and perpetuating the imperial fortune.
