\nThe gold and silver wares in this time are mainly divided into three categories including food and drinking utensils, medicine wares and other kinds. They are varied in shape. The design and pattern mainly include animals, birds, flowers and plants. Techniques like stamping, metal plate-making, teeming, cutting, polishing, riveting, gilding, hammering and chiseling are involved in the making process. Combine methods of several kinds are commonly used in making one utensil. In the early days of the Tang, the gold and silver ware bore persian and Sogian styles.
